Present status and prospect of neutron radiography facilities in Asia

Several neutron radiography facilities have been installed or are under construction at various neutron sources in Asian countries. Twenty seven Asian neutron radiography facilities were reported on data sheets for the Second Topical Meeting on Neutron Radiography System Design and Characterization by Asian scientists. After summarizing the neutron radiography facility reports, their capabilities are evaluated using the given basic parameters. A figure of merit is introduced in this study which permits an estimation of the capabilities of a neutron radiography facility. Various neutron radiography facilities are compared using the figure of merit.
