Abstract :
Si3N4–BN composites were fabricated via die pressing and PIP route using borazine as the precursor. The composites are composed of h-BN, α-Si3N4 and β-Si3N4 with 3.46 wt% α to β phase transition. Desirable mechanical properties of the composites were achieved and special interfacial microstructures can be observed.
