Abstract
An elemental composition of atmospheric aerosols varies between n% and n ppt making some problems for analytical provision of those investigations: synchrotron radiation X-ray fluorescent analysis (SRXF) is the most suitable method. In the present paper, analysis of aerosols samples on Whatman-41 filters different analytical techniques have been applied: instrumental neutron activation analysis, synchrotron radiation X-ray fluorescence, atomic-absorption spectrometry and optical atomic-emission spectroscopy. Interlaboratory comparisons of analytical data have been used to estimate the true values for aerosolʹs elemental characterization. The results of statistical evaluation of data produced and SRXF methodʹs possibilities and problems for the atmospheric aerosols analysis are discussed.
