Enhanced harmonic radiation from a dual-harmonic wiggler

A dual-harmonic wiggler scheme is proposed in this paper. Formula of coupling factor and small signal gain on each harmonic are derived. Both theoretical analysis and numerical simulation show that the third harmonic radiation is effectively enhanced in this model, and under given conditions the radiation power of the third harmonic can be higher than that of the fundamental.
