Abstract :
Three-dimensional viewfactor simulations of the Octopus-HIF-target are presented which show that the symmetrization attainable in this target is sufficient even in three-dimensional simulations of a realistic converter size while conversely the transfer efficiency of the target is quite poor. Deep converter pockets lead to a reduced transfer efficiency due to the energy loss by reabsorption inside the converter cavities.
