Abstract :
An optoelectronic detector based on a fast phosphor scintillator optically coupled to an image intensifier combined with a CMOS photosensitive array is described and discussed in the perspective of elastic and diffractive scattering measurement in the TOTEM experimental program at the CERN LHC.
