Abstract
Three dimensional electron momentum density (3D-EMD) can be obtained from the measurement of coincidences between the Compton scattered photon and recoil electron (X–eX). We developed a new (X–eX) spectrometer in order to make it possible to apply this method to thicker and heavier specimens. The new specrometer has an electrode in the recoil electron path itself to generate a retarded potential. The momentum resolution is achieved as 0.31 a.u. in the experimental condition of the incident X-rayʹs energy (115.6 keV) and the applied potential (−23 kV).
