Comparison of the measured thermal neutron beam characteristics at the Lujan center with Monte Carlo transport calculations

In an effort to characterize the moderators at the Manuel Lujan Center spallation neutron source, Los Alamos, USA, we measured the thermal spectrum and the absolute thermal flux on several of the beamlines. In a second step, we then compared these measurements to results gained from Monte Carlo transport calculations which simulated these experiments. In this paper, we will present the comparison of the measurements with these simulations.
