Abstract :
The LSND experiment at Los Alamos has observed an excess of events in a search for ν̄μ→ν̄e oscillations using ν̄μ from μ+ decay at rest. If attributed to neutrino oscillations, this would imply a value of Δm2>0.2 eV2. The Mini-BooNE experiment of Fermilab will provide a definitive test of the oscillation interpretation of the LSND signal. Neutrino oscillations with a Δm2>0.2 eV2 would have significant implications for the physics program at neutrino factories.
