Abstract :
A method is proposed to simulate open boundary conditions for charged particle beams with v < c in time domain or frequency domain within the Finite Integration Technique (FIT). the calculation domain the moving charged particles are represented by a line current. Further, the simulated field components at the boundary of the calculation domain have to be modified for an undisturbed transmission of the space-charge field. This can be realised by a “scattered field” formulation. thod is verified by several calculations.
