Abstract :
We report on several properties of Ti/Au thermometer layers that limit the experimentally obtained energy resolution of microcalorimeters, based on this thermometer. We have observed excess noise, instabilities in the setpoint and a process dependent steepness of the superconducting transition. We report on attempts to clarify on these imperfections.
