Abstract :
A multiuser, soft X-ray FEL facility is currently planned at BESSY. In preparation for the technical design report, tolerance studies have been performed for the undulator section adjacent to the 2.25 GeV linac. Deficiencies of the incoming beam as well as undulator imperfections have been investigated. Special aspects of the planned APPLE II type undulators have been considered.
