Abstract :
A review of electron beam-bunching methods is presented. A method to create trains of short electron microbunches by creating an electron multilayer mirror in the longitudinal phase space and then rotating it in fields of radiofrequency accelerators or Free-Electron Laser amplifiers is proposed.
