Abstract :
The performance of prototype end-cap modules of the ATLAS Semi-Conductor Tracker are discussed. The results are obtained in stand-alone as well as test beam measurements performed on modules both before and after irradiation with protons with a total dose corresponding to the expectation for 10 years of operation at the Large Hadron Collider. Finally, the present status of construction is summarised.
