Influence of deoxynivalenol on feed consumption by dairy cows

The present results would suggest that diets providing up to 14.6 mg kg−1 concentrate or 31 mg DON per 100 kg body weight for relatively high levels of milk production did not affect feed intake or milk production over a 3 week period. Caution is suggested as DON-contaminated barley can at times contain other mycotoxins.
