Abstract :
Allophane films were formed at the liquid/liquid interface between water and carbon tetrachloride. The microstructure of the allophane films was investigated by optical microscopy (OM). The OM image of the translucent allophane films showed parallel straight lines crossing at right angles. These lines suggest the film was formed by some two-dimensionally ordered array of unit particles.
