Investigation of the stability of inviscid compressible swirling flows

The stability of an inviscid compressible swirling flow between two concentric cylinders is analytically investigated. Two stability criteria are derived for compressible swirling flows under narrow gap approximation by an analytic method analogous to Ludwiegʹs method. Finally, the effect of compressibility is discussed.
