Aid tool for the design of process and aircraft assembly lines

The joint design of a new complex industrial process and of a new production system implies that several teams with various skills collaborate. This article describes a computer aided design tool based on the combination of a graph to describe the process with three viewers to visualize the process, the layout of the workshop and the production facilities. Different processes and configurations of the site can be tested to realize simultaneously several products. This paper presents the process planning model based on a graph and the viewers with a multi-scale approach.
