Abstract :
The adjustment and the regeneration of the flow field unstructured mesh as well as the finite element solutions for the Euler equations in the transient process of the separation of external stores from an aircraft at a predetermined downward translation and rotation are investigated. It is shown that the adjustment or regeneration of grids needed for moving store can be confined within a small region around the store and the finite element numerical solution method of Euler equations for fixed grids can also be used for moving grids if the conservative fluxes Fk of fixed grids are replaced by Ek of moving grids. The relationships between Fk and Ek are also established. The numerical results for practical examples of aircraft with external stores are shown.
