Characterization of the degree of regularity of two-dimensional random quasi-lattice structures

This article discusses a method for the quantitative characterization of the degree of regularity of planar quasi-lattice structures. The method is particularly suitable for systems of objects distributed according to a disturbed lattice. The statistical analysis leads to a regularity plot and some regularity parameters. The application of the method to some metallic and nonmetallic examples is demonstrated.
