Abstract
Demand response (DR), which controls electric usage of customers when electric system reliability is jeopardised, attracts much societal attention. To realise a pragmatic DR, aggregators have to make well-customised requests for power saving to keep each customer comfortable in energy use. An engineering method is proposed here to design a DR aggregation service from the viewpoint of various customers’ comfort. The idea is to use an optimum resource allocation method that can provide quantitative information on how much electric power should be saved by each customer. The application validated the effectiveness of the proposed method.
