Inter-conversion of Malvern and sieve size distributions

Experimental Malvern distributions of several sieve size classes are used to develop a transformation model for the conversion from sieve to malvern size distributions. The Malvern to sieve conversion is done by determining the sieve distribution for which the corresponding transformed Malvern distribution is closest, in a least squares sense, to the measured Malvern distribution. This formulation allows extensions yielding improved estimated sieve distributions.
