Abstract :
In this study, we perform a simple numerical analysis of opposed jet milling processes. Particle acceleration in the nozzle and jet, as well as interaction of opposed gas—particle jets are considered. The efficiency of particle acceleration in the jet milling system is estimated. The range of raw particle sizes for which the opposed jet mill operates efficiently is also determined.
