Madonna dell’Arma (Via Aurelia, San Remo, Italie) : analyse pollinique de la bâtisse gallo-romaine

Résumé étude présente les données obtenues sur la végétation gallo-romaine d’après l’analyse pollinique d’une séquence archéologique disposée sur le littoral ligure. Un des principaux intérêts de cette analyse réside dans l’élaboration, à partir du traitement statistique des données, d’un modèle théorique sur la répartition de la végétation durant la période gallo-romaine. Les hypothèses climatiques déduites de la séquence montrent essentiellement une zone littorale semi-aride et peu contrastée. L’intégration de la bâtisse gallo-romaine de Madonna dell’Arma dans un contexte archéologique local a permis d’incorporer la séquence entre le Ier et le IIIe siècle AD. Pour citer cet article : D. This study presents a short local vegetation history of western Liguria, northwest Italy, based on pollen analysis of a 180-cm-long archaeological sediment profile. This study also provides a theoretical pattern of vegetation terracing in Liguria during the Gallo-Roman period. Statistical analyses were applied to determine vegetation groups and their terracing on Mediterranean belts according to the soil diversity. The pollen analysis of Madonna dell’Arma Gallo-roman house’s surroundings provides a local picture of the vegetation during the Empire period. The hypotheses on climate relate a dryness coastal zone.
