Abstract
The data base for the tidal records at Saint John, New Brunswick, was broadened by digitizing the water levels available over the span 1932–1946. Annual samples for the major components of its tide now cover the interval 1932–1980; samples for 1894–1917 could also be derived indirectly. They confirm the trends in the local tide suggested previously from the scrutiny of fewer samples. Such changes are fully consistent with the rapid evolution which must have prevailed not only in the tides of the Bay of Fundy, but in those of all coastal seas, since the end of the last glaciation.
