Static and dynamic properties of micelles, microemulsions and vesicles

Considerable progress has been made in understanding the static and dynamic properties of micelles and microemulsions, in particular from considerations of the role of the bending elastic energy of the surfactant monolayer. Topics such as the formation and properties of polymer-like giant micelles, the link between the elastic properties of the surfactant film, and the aggregate microstructure and its influence on local (shape fluctuations) and global (viscosity, self-diffusion) dynamic properties have also received much attention recently.
