Electroactive polymers including non-linear optical polymers

Recent advances in design, synthesis, and processing of electroactive polymers promise important commercial applications ranging from improved performance flat panel displays to critical components of the next generation information superhighway. Electroactive polymer research is also providing fundamental new insight into the role of long range electrostatic interactions with consequences for condensed matter theory and the development of nanostructured materials.
