A U.S. JGOFS process study in the equatorial Pacific (EqPac): Introduction

This special issue contains data and scientific results from the JGOFS Process Study in the equatorial Pacific. Most of the contributions are from the U.S. JGOFS Process Study (EqPac) but the French and Australian results are represented as well. The equatorial Pacific plays a major role in the oceanic and atmospheric carbon cycles, and these studies are the first step for synthesizing the cycle of carbon and related elements in this region.
