Abstract :
In order to investigate the tectonic metallogenic background of Zhaokalong deposit, major elements and trace elements of volc anic rocks at Zhaokalong deposit were analyzed. The volcanic rocks of Zhaokalong deposit are andesite - island arc tholeiitic basalt, showing high Al, Na and low K content, with deep magma source original features. Trace elements analysis show that the volcanic rocks have high Cu, Pb and Zn, indicating the close relationship between volcanic and mineralization. Based on the results, Zhaokalong deposit can be classi fied as sedimentary- exhalative ore deposit. We conclude Zhaokalong polymetallic deposit was located in the Chesuo -Shengda graben, northwest part of Jiangda island arc uplift. The tectonic metallogenic background of Zhaokalong deposit was the Paleo -Tethyan archipelago oceanic basin in the Mesozoic. The oceanic basin may be formed after back-arc spreading.
