  • Abstract
    In Italy, the “albergo diffuso” represents a new alternative to traditional tourist accommodations, such as hotels, B&Bs or farmhouses. It is part of a formula for accommodation capacity that is particularly suitable for small rural centres. lbergo diffuso” also represents a formula for sustainable economic development in many tourist destinations because it has a very limited impact on the environment. ition this formula does not require the construction of new structures but rather aims to restore and recuperate existing houses in accordance with local cultural and historical features. llows the economic development of small rural destinations while avoiding depopulation.
