Abstract :
A method to evaluate crack length and crack tip opening angle (CTOA) using only load vs. load-line data (P vs. Δ) is proposed for sheet materials for the C(T) specimen. The method has been applied to high-strength steel sheet and reasonable agreement was found with results from the surface optical method.
