Abstract :
The paper deals with problems related to simulation of deformation behavior of polymeric coatings for tribotechnical application under action of thermal and mechanical loads that are characteristic for their operating conditions. Disperse-filled Polymer Composite Materials (PCM) were studied. Models are based on equations of continuum mechanics. Implementation of the mathematical models was carried out by means of computational mechanics, in particular, by the finite elements method. Coating material structure and its deformation behavior was analyzed at several scale levels. Structure elements of the material under study were considered at each particular scale level. The detailed distribution of stress–strain state (SSS) parameters obtained in the study allow one to predict the fracture character that depends on local structure characteristics of the coating material and their interaction.
