Abstract :
A new second harmonic heterodyne ECE system, which is suitable for the future W7-X stellarator, has been developed and tested at W7-AS. It completes the older W7-AS system. The design was aimed at using less components and improving the system noise compared to the older system. A technical description and first measurements are presented.
