Abstract :
The broader approach activities have been set up in a process of ITER construction negotiations. To develop the DEMO Fusion Power Plant, these activities are regarded necessary to be carried out in parallel to ITER and will be implemented jointly in a framework of bilateral agreement between EU and Japanese governments. The paper introduces their scientific and technological contents and timetables.
