Abstract :
A hypervapotron cooling concept armoured with flat tiles is considered as a possible technique to handle heat fluxes about 20 MW/m2produced in a fusion reactor. As far as the optimization of the hypervapotron concept is concerned, this paper provides promising predictive 3D numerical simulations. These simulations model both the two-phase flow and the solid heat conduction within the hypervapotron structure with the coupled computer codes Neptune CFD and Syrthes.
