Development of the supervisory discharge operation monitoring system for JT-60

For safety and efficient operation of a fusion device, appropriate information should be provided to the personnel participating in the experiment. In a continuing effort to meet this requirement, we have recently developed highlight displays showing the plasma movie, the status of the discharge sequence, the discharge schedule, the status of present troubles, etc. These highlight displays are presented on the large (65 in.) TV monitor in front of the central consoles. These displays are automatically changed according to the timing signals of the JT-60 discharge sequence and/or at the JT-60 session leaderʹs request. We call this system “the supervisory discharge operation monitoring system.” This report describes the technical details of both this system and the discharge information management system (DIMS).
