Conceptual design of a phosphor detector for an ITER-like plasma

A feasibility study for a broadband radiation detector, based on the luminescence of a phosphor, for ITER-like plasmas is presented. Selection criteria for choosing the different components are given and critical problems are identified. A simple model which simulates the detector response is presented.
