Abstract :
A CO2 laser phase contrast imaging system has been developed for tokamak KT-5C. The system properties have been explored using a step phase modulator. It has been found that by setting the focus of an undiffracted beam outside the groove of the phase plate, a single-point detection system can still be used to measure fluctuations with resolution of wavenumber.
