Abstract
A neutral particle analyzer with an energy range up to 4 MeV for both protons and alpha particles was developed for operation with the electric field anti-parallel to the magnetic field. The scintillator thickness of each detector was selected as thin as possible to decrease sensitivity of the detector to neutrons and γ-rays. The desired performance was confirmed on calibration experiments and JT-60U experiments.
