Abstract :
In stellarators, average equilibrium β can be derived from measurements of the magnetic flux produced by the Pfirsch-Schlüter current. This method has been compared with the conventional diamagnetic method. The important advantages of using this method are much higher relative signal ratio and easier installation of the diagnostic in any stellarator devices.
