Abstract :
The vessel of the high flux test module of IFMIF is supposed to be a rectangular duct due to the necessity of packing specimens spatially efficiently into the test module. Since there is a large pressure difference of several times the atmospheric pressure between the inside and the outside of the vessel, the vessel wall is considered to deform easily. A slight deformation should not be neglected because the deformation of the vessel seriously affects the coolant flow, that is, cooling performance. In this study, we performed elastoplastic finite element analysis for the rectangular vessel of the high flux test module. In addition to the material nonlinearity, by taking into account geometrical nonlinearity and thermal stresses, we could obtain detailed results such as relations between deformations and pressure differences.
