A 47-year-old man presented as a dyspnea and fatigue. A transthoracic echocardi-ography (TTE) performed to assess valvar heart disease and left ventricular (LV) function showed a large hydatid cysts in the inter ventricular septum bulging to posterior of heart and compressing its overlying muscle as whitish round mass. The patient underwent elective surgery by evacuation of septal hydatid cysts from posterior inter ventricular aspect of septum and capitonnage of cavity. His postop-erative course was uneventful. Post-operative albendazole for prophylaxis of pro-cedures were recommended. The patient was scheduled for regular follow-up, to check for any recurrences or late complications. |
