بررسي اثر اندازه دولت بر رشد اقتصادي: شواهدي از كشورهاي منتخب منطقه منا

مقاله حاضر اثر اندازه دولت بر رشد اقتصادي را در كشورهاي منتخب منطقه منا با به­كار گيري رهيافت داده ­هاي تابلويي غيرخطي در طول دوره زماني 19902011 بررسي مي­كند. نتايج حاصل از تخمين مدل رگرسيوني انتقال ملايم تابلويي نشان مي­دهد كه شدت اثر مثبت نيروي كار بر رشد اقتصادي در سطوح بسيار بالاي اندازه دولت افزايش يافته است و برخلاف اثر مثبت سرمايه­ گذاري بر رشد اقتصادي در سطوح پايين اندازه دولت، اثر آن منفي تخمين زده شده است. از سوي ديگر، در سطوح بالاي اندازه دولت، درآمدهاي صادراتي در كشورهاي تحت بررسي اثر مثبتي روي رشد اقتصادي ندارند. اصلي­ ترين نتيجه مطالعه حاضر بيان مي­كند كه اثرات تخريبي مخارج مصرفي دولت با تأكيد بر اثر منفي اين مخارج بر رشد اقتصادي تأييد مي­ گردد.

This paper investigates the impact of government size on economic growth in selected economies of the MENA countries by using a nonlinear panel data approach over the period 19902011. The estimation results of Panel Smooth Threshold Regression model show that when the level of government consumption is very large, the positive impact of labor force on growth is intensified. On the other hand, export revenues in the countries under investigation have no positive effect on economic growth when the level of government consumption is high. The main result of this study confirms the negative impact of consumption expenditures on economic growth in this block of countries.
