Abstract :
Study of circadian rhythms is important in many areas of occupational medicine. Melatonin has immunomodulatory effects and regulates circadian rhythms in vertebrates.1 Recent growth in exposure to extremely low frequency electromagnetic field (ELF-EMF) has stimulated concerns about its adverse effects on circadian rhythms. Melatonin may be a good biomarker for assessing the biological effects of ELF-EMF.
