Abstract
An efficient synthesis of oxazoles, under solvent-free conditions, is described via reaction between ammonium thiocyanate, acid chlorides, and ethyl bromopyruvate or ethyl 2-chloroacetoacetate in the presence of N-formylmorpholine.
