Abstract :
Objective- This study was performed to investigate the analgesic effects of lidocaine, xylazine and lidocaine/xylazine combination in epidural anesthesia in dromedary camels. Design- Experimental Study Animals- Fifteen healthy immature dromedary camels Methods- The camels were randomly designed in 3 equal groups. In group L: lidocaine 2% (0.22 mg/kg), in group X: xylazine 2% (0.17 mg/kg), and in group LX: a combination of lidocaine 2% (0.22 mg/kg) and xylazine 2% (0.17 mg/kg) were injected into the first intercoccygeal epidural space. Analgesia, sedation, ataxia, and effect on cardiopulmonary, rectal temperature were recorded at different intervals before (baseline) and after the drug administration. Results- Epidural lidocaine, xylazine and their combination produced analgesia in the tail, anus and perineum. Onset time of perineal analgesia in groups L and LX was significantly shorter than group X. Duration of complete perineal analgesia in group X and LX was significantly longer than group L. Mild to moderate sedation was observed in groups X and LX, whilst the camels in group L were alert and nervous during the study. Ataxia was observed in all test subjects and was more severe in group L and LX. Significant depression in heart rate, respiratory rate, and rectal temperature values were observed in groups X and LX in some measurement points of the study. Conclusion and Clinical Relevance- According to the results of present study, it could be concluded that a combination of lidocaine and xylazine administered epidurally to dromedaries produces an effective, safe, with more rapid onset of longer perineal analgesia, when compared with either agent alone.

ﻫﺪف- ﻣﻄﺎﻟﻌﻪ ﺣﺎﺿﺮ ﺑﻪ ﻣﻨﻈﻮر ﺑﺮرﺳﻲ اﺛﺮات ﺑﻲ دردي ﻧﺎﺷﻲ از ﺗﺰرﻳﻖ اﭘﻴﺪورال داروﻫﺎي ﻟﻴﺪوﻛﺎﻳﻴﻦ، زاﻳﻼزﻳﻦ و ﺗﺮﻛﻴـﺐ آﻧ ﻬـﺎ در ﺷـﺘﺮ ﺗﻚ ﻛﻮﻫﺎﻧﻪ اﻧﺠﺎم ﺷﺪ. ﻃﺮح ﻣﻄﺎﻟﻌﻪ- ﻣﻄﺎﻟﻌﻪ ﺗﺠﺮﺑﻲ ﺑﺮ روي ﻣﻮﺟﻮد زﻧﺪه. ﺣﻴﻮاﻧﺎت- ﺗﻌﺪاد 15 ﻧﻔﺮ ﺷﺘﺮ ﺗﻚ ﻛﻮﻫﺎﻧﻪ ﻧﺎﺑﺎﻟﻎ و ﺳﺎﻟﻢ. روش ﻛﺎر- در اﻳﻦ ﻣﻄﺎﻟﻌﻪ ﺣﻴﻮاﻧﺎت ﺑﻄﻮر ﺗﺼﺎدﻓﻲ ﺑﻪ 3 ﮔﺮوه ﻣﺴـﺎوي ﺗﻘﺴـﻴﻢ ﺷـﺪﻧﺪ در ﮔـﺮوه L: داروي ﻟﻴـﺪوﻛﺎﻳﻴﻦ 2 ﺑـﺎ دوز 0/22 ﻣﻴﻠﻴﮕﺮم ﺑﻪ ازاي ﻛﻴﻠﻮﮔﺮم وزن ﺑﺪن، در ﮔﺮوه X: داروي زاﻳﻼزﻳﻦ 2 ﺑﺎ دوز 0/17 ﻣﻴﻠﻴﮕﺮم ﺑﻪ ازاي ﻛﻴﻠﻮﮔﺮم وزن ﺑـﺪن و در ﮔـﺮوه LX: ﺗﺮﻛﻴﺐ داروي ﻟﻴﺪوﻛﺎﻳﻴﻦ و زاﻳﻼزﻳﻦ ﺑﺎ دوزﻫﺎي ﻣﺬﻛﻮر در اوﻟﻴﻦ ﻓﻀﺎي ﺑﻴﻦ ﻣﻬﺮه اي دم ﺗﺰرﻳﻖ ﺷﺪ. زﻣﺎن ﺷﺮوع و ﻃﻮل ﻣﺪت ﺑﻲ دردي،ﺷﺪت آراﻣﺒﺨﺸﻲ و ﻋﺪم ﺗﻌﺎدل و ﺗﻌﺪاد ﺿﺮﺑﺎن ﻗﻠﺐ و ﺗﻨﻔﺲ و درﺟﻪ ﺣﺮارت ﺑﺪن ﻗﺒﻞ از ﺗﺰرﻳﻖ و در ﻓﻮاﺻﻞ زﻣﺎﻧﻲ ﻣﻌﻴﻦ ﺑﻌـﺪ از ﺗﺰرﻳـﻖ اﭘﻴﺪورال داروﻫﺎي ﻣﺬﻛﻮر ﺗﺒﺖ ﮔﺮدﻳﺪ و ﺑﻴﻦ ﮔﺮوﻫﻬﺎ ﻣﻮرد ﻣﻘﺎﻳﺴﻪ ﮔﺮﻓﺖ. ﻧﺘﺎﻳﺞ- ﻧﺘﺎﻳﺞ اﻳﻦ ﺑﺮرﺳﻲ ﻧﺸﺎن داد ﻛﻪ ﺗﺰرﻳﻖ اﭘﻴﺪورال داروﻫﺎي ﻟﻴﺪوﻛﺎﻳﻴﻦ، زاﻳﻼزﻳﻦ و ﺗﺮﻛﻴﺐ آﻧﻬﺎ ﺳﺒﺐ اﻟﻘﺎي ﺑﻲ دردي در ﻧﺎﺣﻴـﻪ دم،ﻣﻘﻌﺪ و ﭘﺮﻳﻨﻪ ﮔﺸﺖ. زﻣﺎن ﺷﺮوع ﺑﻲ دردي در ﻧﺎﺣﻴﻪ ﭘﺮﻳﻨﻪ در ﮔﺮوﻫﻬﺎي L و LX ﺑﻄﻮر ﻣﻌﻨﻲ داري ﻛﻮﺗﺎﻫﺘﺮ از ﮔـﺮوه X و ﻃـﻮل ﻣـﺪت ﺑﻴﺪردي در ﮔﺮوﻫﻬﺎي X و LX ﺑﻄﻮر ﻣﻌﻨﻲ داري ﻃﻮﻻﻧﻲ ﺗﺮ از ﮔﺮوه L ﺑﻮد. آراﻣﺒﺨﺸﻲ ﺧﻔﻴﻒ ﺗـﺎ ﺣـﺪ ﻣﺘﻮﺳـﻂ در ﮔﺮوﻫﻬـﺎي X و LX ﻣﺸﺎﻫﺪه ﺷﺪ، در ﺣﻠﻴﻜﻪ ﺣﻴﻮاﻧﺎت در ﮔﺮوه L در ﻃﻮل ﻣﻄﺎﻟﻌﻪ ﻫﻮﺷﻴﺎر و ﻋﺼﺒﻲ ﺑﻮدﻧﺪ. ﻋﺪم ﺗﻌﺎدل ﻣﺘﻌﺎﻗﺐ ﺗﺰرﻳﻖ اﭘﻴـﺪورال دارو در ﺗﻤـﺎم ﺣﻴﻮاﻧﺎت ﻣﺸﺎﻫﺪه ﺷﺪ ﻛﻪ در L و LX ﺷﺪﻳﺪﺗﺮ ﺑﻮد. ﺗﻀﻌﻴﻒ ﻣﻌﻨﻲ داري در ﺗﻌﺪاد ﺿﺮﺑﺎن ﻗﻠﺐ و ﺗﻨﻔﺲ و درﺟﻪ ﺣﺮارت ﺑﺪن در ﺑﻌﻀـﻲ از زﻣﺎﻧﻬﺎي ﺑﻌﺪ از ﺗﺰرﻳﻖ دارو در ﮔﺮوﻫﻬﺎي X و LX ﺛﺒﺖ ﺷﺪ. ﻧﺘﻴﺠﻪ ﮔﻴﺮي و ﻛﺎرﺑﺮد ﺑﺎﻟﻴﻨﻲ- ﺑﺮ ﭘﺎﻳﻪ ﻧﺘﺎﻳﺞ ﺣﺎﺻﻠﻪ ﻣﻴﺘـﻮان اﻳﻨﮕﻮﻧـﻪ ﻧﺘﻴﺠـﻪ ﮔﻴـﺮي ﻧﻤـﻮد ﻛـﻪ ﺗﺰرﻳـﻖ اﭘﻴـﺪورال ﺗﺮ ﻛﻴـﺐ داروﻫـﺎي ﻟﻴﺪوﻛﺎﻳﻴﻦ و زاﻳﻼزﻳﻦ ﺳﺒﺐ اﻟﻘﺎي ﺑﻲ دردي ﺧﻠﻔﻲ ﻣﻮﺛﺮ، اﻣﻦ ﺑﺎ ﺷﺮوع اﺛﺮ ﺳﺮﻳﻊ و ﻃﻮﻻﻧﻲ ﻣﺪت ﻧﺴﺒﺖ ﺑﻪ ﺗﺰرﻳﻖ ﺗﻨﻬﺎي داروﻫﺎي ﻣـﺬﻛﻮر ر ﺷﺘﺮ ﺗﻚ ﻛﻮﻫﺎﻧﻪ ﻣﻴﮕﺮدد.
