Abstract :
Objective- Addition of the drugs to lidocaine to induce epidural analgesia in order to elongate and enhance the analgesia has been investigated previously. The objective of this study was to compare the effects of epidurally administered xylazine either in combination of lidocaine or alone in rabbits. Design- Experimental study
Animals- Twelve healthy and adult male New Zealand white strain rabbits weighting 2.2±0.3 kg were used in this study.
Procedures - Following the epidural catheterization of all rabbits under general anesthesia they were randomly assigned to three equal groups of A, B and C. The next day administration of 4 mg/kg of 2% lidocaine, 3 mg/kg of 2% xylazine and 2 mg/kg of 2% lidocaine-1.5 mg/kg of 2% xylazine mixture was performed in group A, B and C respectively through the epidural catheter. The motor activity, the onset time of blockade, the duration of blockade, heart rate, respiratory rate and rectal temperature were recorded prior and during analgesia.
Results- Values were not significantly different among the three groups (P>0.05) and no complication occurred during a week after induction of epidural analgesia. Either of the alone drugs or their combination is safe to be used into the epidural space in rabbits.
Conclusions and Clinical Relevance- By considering the reduced dose of xylazine, the combination of xylazine and lidocaine seems superior to induce epidural analgesia in rabbits.

ﻫﺪف- ﭘﻴﺸﺘﺮ، اﻓﺰودن داروﻫﺎي ﻣﺨﺘﻠﻒ ﺑﻪ ﻟﻴﺪوﻛﺎﻳﻴﻦ و ﺗﺠﻮﻳﺰ اﭘﻴﺪورال آن ﺟﻬﺖ ﻃﻮﻻﻧﻲ ﻧﻤﻮدن و اﻓﺰاﻳﺶ اﺛـﺮات ﺑـﻲ دردي در ﺑـﻲ ﺣﺴـﻲ اﭘﻴﺪورال ﻣﻄﺎﻟﻌﻪ ﺷﺪه اﺳﺖ، اﻣﺎ ﮔﺰارﺷﻲ از ﺗﺠﻮﻳﺰ زاﻳﻼزﻳﻦ ﺑﻪ ﺻﻮرت اﭘﻴﺪورال در ﺧﺮﮔﻮﺷﻬﺎ وﺟﻮد ﻧﺪارد. ﻫﺪف از اﻳﻦ ﻣﻄﺎﻟﻌﻪ ﻣﻘﺎﻳﺴﻪ ﻃـﻮل و ﻣﻴﺰان ﺑﻲدردي در ﺗﺠﻮﻳﺰ اﭘﻴﺪورال زاﻳﻼزﻳﻦ ﺑﻪ ﺗﻨﻬﺎﻳﻲ ﻳﺎ در ادﻏﺎم ﺑﺎ ﻟﻴﺪوﻛﺎﻳﻴﻦ در ﺧﺮﮔﻮش ﻣﻲﺑﺎﺷﺪ.
ﻃﺮح- ﻣﻄﺎﻟﻌﻪ ﺗﺠﺮﺑﻲ
ﺣﻴﻮاﻧﺎت- 12 ﺧﺮﮔﻮش ﻧﺮ، ﺑﺎﻟﻎ از ﻧﮋاد ﺳﻔﻴﺪ ﻧﻴﻮزﻟﻨﺪي ﺑﺎ ﻣﻴﺎﻧﮕﻴﻦ وزﻧﻲ 2/2±0/3 ﻛﻴﻠﻮﮔﺮم
روش ﻛﺎر- ﺗﺤﺖ ﺑﻴﻬﻮﺷﻲ ﻋﻤﻮﻣﻲ، ﻛﺎﺗﺘﺮ اﭘﻴﺪورال در ﻓﻀﺎي اﭘﻴﺪورال ﻛﻠﻴﻪ ﺧﺮﮔﻮﺷﻬﺎ ﻛﺎر ﮔﺬاﺷﺘﻪ ﺷﺪ و ﺑﻪ ﺻﻮرت ﺗﺼﺎدﻓﻲ ﺧﺮﮔﻮﺷﻬﺎ ﺑﻪ ﺳﻪ ﮔﺮوه ﻣﺴﺎوي ﺗﻘﺴﻴﻢ ﺷﺪﻧﺪ. روز ﺑﻌﺪ ﺑﻪ ﺗﺮﺗﻴﺐ 4 ﻣﻴﻠﻲﮔﺮم ﺑﻪ ازاي ﻫﺮ ﻛﻴﻠﻮﮔﺮم وزن ﺑﺪن ﻟﻴﺪوﻛﺎﻳﻴﻦ 2%، 3 ﻣﻴﻠﻲﮔـﺮم ﺑـﻪ ازاي ﻫـﺮ ﻛﻴﻠـﻮﮔﺮم وزن زاﻳﻼزﻳﻦ 2 و ادﻏﺎم 2 ﻣﻴﻠﻲ ﮔﺮم ﺑﻪ ازاي ﻫﺮ ﻛﻴﻠﻮﮔﺮم وزن ﺑـﺪن ﻟﻴـﺪوﻛﺎﻳﻴﻦ2 و 1/5 ﻣﻴﻠـﻲ ﮔـﺮم ﺑـﻪ ازاي ﻫـﺮ ﻛﻴﻠـﻮﮔﺮم وزن ﺑـﺪن زاﻳﻼزﻳﻦ 2 در ﮔﺮوﻫﻬﺎي B ،A و C از ﻃﺮﻳﻖ ﻛﺎﺗﺘﺮ اﭘﻴﺪورال ﺗﺠﻮﻳﺰ ﺷﺪ. ﻣﻴﺰان ﻓﻌﺎﻳﺖ ﺣﺮﻛﺘﻲ، ﺷﺮوع اﺛﺮ ﺑﻲ دردي و ﻣﺪت زﻣـﺎن ﺑـﻲ دردي ﺑﻪ ﻫﻤﺮاه ﺗﻌﺪاد ﺿﺮﺑﺎن ﻗﻠﺐ، ﺗﻨﻔﺲ و دﻣﺎي ﺑﺪن در ﻫﺮ ﺳﻪ ﮔﺮوه ﭘﻴﺶ و در ﻃﻮل ﺑﻲ ﺣﺴﻲ اﭘﻴﺪورال ﺛﺒﺖ ﺷﺪ.
ﻧﺘﺎﻳﺞ- ﻧﺘﺎﻳﺞ ﻫﻴﭻ اﺧﺘﻼف ﻣﻌﻨﻲداري را در ﺗﻤﺎﻣﻲ ﻣﻘـﺎﻃﻊ زﻣـﺎﻧﻲ در ﭘﺎرﻣﺘﺮﻫـﺎي ﻣﺨﺘﻠـﻒ اﻧـﺪازه ﮔﻴـﺮي ﺷـﺪه ﻧﺸـﺎن ﻧﺪادﻧـﺪ(P>0.05) .
ﻫﻤﭽﻨﻴﻦ ﻫﻴﭽﮕﻮﻧﻪ ﻋﺎرﺿﻪ ﺣﺮﻛﺘﻲ ﻳﺎ ﺑﺎﻟﻴﻨﻲ در ﺧﺮﮔﻮﺷﻬﺎ ﺗﺎ ﻳﻚ ﻫﻔﺘﻪ ﭘﺲ از ﺗﺠﻮﻳﺰ داروﻫﺎ دﻳﺪه ﻧﺸﺪ.
ﻧﺘﻴﺠﻪ ﮔﻴﺮي و ﻛﺎرﺑﺮد ﺑﺎﻟﻴﻨﻲ - ﺑﺪﻳﻦ ﺗﺮﺗﻴﺐ زاﻳﻼزﻳﻦ ﺑﻪ ﺗﻨﻬﺎﻳﻲ و ﻳﺎ در ادﻏﺎم ﺑﺎ ﻟﻴﺪوﻛﺎﻳﻴﻦ ﺑـﻪ ﺻـﻮرت ﻣﻄﻤﺌﻨـﻲ در ﻓﻀـﺎي اﭘﻴـﺪورال در ﺧﺮﮔﻮش ﻗﺎﺑﻞ ﺗﺠﻮﻳﺰ ﻣﻲﺑﺎﺷﺪ. ﺑﺎ در ﻧﻈﺮ ﮔﺮﻓﺘﻦ ﻛﺎﻫﺶ دوز داروﻫﺎ در ادﻏﺎم داروﻳﻲ، ﺑﻪ ﻧﻈﺮ ﻣﻲرﺳﺪ ادﻏﺎم داروﻳﻲ زاﻳﻼزﻳـﻦ و ﻟﻴـﺪوﻛﺎﻳﻴﻦ در ﺑﻲﺣﺴﻲ اﭘﻴﺪورال در ﺧﺮﮔﻮش ارﺣﺠﻴﺖ دارد.
