Abstract :
Chromosome numbers of three native species of Prosopis are presented. Theyinclude first countsfrom Iran for Prosopis cinerariaand Prosopis farcta, both of which show diploidy by 2neq; 28, and first record of Prosopis koelzianashow diploidy and tetraploidy. Chromosomes werecountedfromthirty populations of Prosopis distributed in South Iran.
