Abstract :
This study was designed to estimate the effect of different parameters (i.e. SSC marks, mathematics, statistics, handwriting, attendance, hostel, study hours, parent s education and medium of schools) on student marks in FA intermediate part-I. The effects of mathematics, statistics, handwriting, attendance and educated mother are significantly positive whereas those of English Medium school are significantly negative. Father s education, study hours and position among siblings have no significant effect on one s academic achievement. This study also shows that weak students are more studious.
