Abstract
The construction of observers of rotor flux and mechanical speed needed for robust control of the induction machine is proposed in this paper. This research is devoted to the construction of rotor flux observers and the mechanical speed necessary for the robust control of the induction machine. Two observers are developed and compared. The first observer is based on the MRAS techniques, the second observer is based on KUBOTA with an enhanced DTC-ANN, sensorless DTC artificial intelligence technique. Simulation results have validated the proposed methods. Subsequently, two speed observers are developed and compared. The first speed observer is based on MRAS technique and the second one is based on KUBOTA technique, with an improved DTC-ANN control. Matlab/Simulink software is used to simulate and compare the determined Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of stator current, torque ripple, and stator flux ripple with conventional DTC control scheme.
